TransPLANT is an advisory tool in selecting regionally appropriate plant species for erosion control, revegetation, biofiltration, and similar planting situations. TransPLANT considers factors such as elevation, rainfall, soil type, and regional plant communities.

TransPLANT is intended to supplement, not replace, the local knowledge. Site visits to project locations are recommended. Species included in TransPLANT are commercially available either as seed or as live plants.

This tool is not appropriate for development of wildland revegetation specifications where local native species are the ecologically preferred management alternative.
